Preparations of Ramadan are in full swing and we all are aware that this is the month of guidance. It is the month when the Holy Quran was revealed. Allah SWT has given proofs and clear instructions to mankind in the Holy Quran as to how to live a life in a better and rightful way.
Allah SWT asked the believers to fast in the month of Ramadan, and whoever is sick or upon a journey, then (he shall fast) a (like) number of other days; Allah desires ease for you, and He does not desire for you difficulty, and (He desires) that you should complete the number and that you should exalt the greatness of Allah for His having guided you and that you may give thanks.
– Qur’an [Al-Baqarah]:185
Ramadan is the month giving all blessings, virtues, and opportunities for knocking on the doors of Almighty Allah. Preparations of Ramadan are yet to do, so here we are presenting some of the quick tips to follow while preparing for the Holy month.
By acting on these preparations of Ramadan, we will make the best of it by the will of our Almighty.
Core Preparations of Ramadan Kareem
1. Make a good intention
Everything depends on the intention. As one of the Hadiths state:
Innamal a’malu binniyat meaning “Actions are dependent upon their Intentions”
Thus make sure to purify your intention and keep your fast for the sake of Allah. Worship Him to seek His pleasure and earn His infinite mercy. Give yourself a target to make this Ramadan your best ever and fruitful one.
2. Make up your missed fast
Don’t carry over the fasts of last Ramadan that you might have missed due to any reason. Thus, make sure to keep your missed fasts before the commencement of Ramadan Kareem. Paying these fasts will get you in fasting mode just before the month of Ramadan.
3. Get to a medical check-up
Fasting requires a person to be fit and physically well. Ramadan carries rigorous activities and blesses us with infinite rewards. Treat yourself first and ask Allah to grant us strength, healing, and wellness.
4. Do food preparations
We need to schedule and make arrangements for foodstuff. Preparations for Ramadan are obviously incomplete without food stocks. So get towards necessary food arrangements to avoid the wastage of time and energy in the month of Ramadan Kareem while shopping all the stuff.
5. Strengthen your relation with the Quran:
Ramadan is a great time to build our strong relationship with the Holy Quran. “Angel Jibreel used to meet the prophet (peace be upon him) EVERY NIGHT IN RAMADAN to study the Holy Quran carefully together” [Bukhari].
Every word of the Quran recitation is rewarded more in the month of Ramadan and every Fard (prayer) offered is rewarded 10 times more in the Holy month. So get ready to take advantage of the huge reward every day in Ramadan.
