1. Fast voluntarily before a month

In Shaban ul Muazzam, keep some fasts as this will help you out to make the stamina. As we say, practice makes a man perfect so this is what you can do before Ramadan.

2. See your doctor

If you are going through illness or have some problem then contact your doctor prior to Ramadan Kareem so that it will be safer to fast throughout the month. This will give you satisfaction while having fasts and other ibadah.

3. Do Early breakfast

We eat breakfast quite late throughout the year but before starting of Ramadan Kareem, start having breakfast earlier. It will make you practice Suhoor (pre-dawn meal) and your body will be familiar to that routine.

4. Arrange stock for items

If you plan to stock for all your meals before Ramadan then it gives you an edge to spend more time in Ibadah in the blessed month. Make sure to stock the necessary items so that you don’t have to go out in Ramadan. You can also note down your items stocking in Ramadan planners.

5. Avoid snack intake

Avoid having snacks in between day times. Take three-course meals in a day so that it will accustom you to two meals of Suhoor and Iftar in Ramadan. This avoiding of snacks will help you prepare to adjust your meals.

6. Adjust sleep schedule

We often lead to having tight sleep timing in Ramadan Kareem and this makes us sleep-deprived. So it is always better to adjust your sleep schedule and try to sleep early prior to the month of Ramadan. This early sleeping will make you able to wake up for Suhoor at ease.

7. Reduce and avoid coffee intake

If you are a coffee lover so try to cut off or minimize your coffee intake. Limit it to one cup or try to start drinking decaffeinated coffee as this will help you reduce coffee consumption.

8. Lessen food consumption

Before Ramadan, reduce the extra consumption of food as this might cause you difficulty during times of fasting. Intake all necessary calories and fats to avoid any weakness. Thus, it is better to consider this point prior to Ramadan.

9. Reduce smoking or quit

Ramadan is a good chance for the ones who smoke. Most of the smokers do smoking for long hours in a day and they are really addicted.  So it is better to start practicing reduced smoking before Ramadan. It will make you safe from anxiety and restlessness in Ramadan while enabling you to concentrate on fasting.
