If you have Tawakkul on Allah, you can win every battle of life. This is so true for every Muslim who puts trust solely on Allah and faces hardships of life successfully.
“If you had all relied on Allah (SWT) as you should rely on Him, then He would have provided for you as He provides for the birds, who wake up hungry in the morning and return with full stomachs at dusk.”
[At-Tirmidhi]
Tawaakul is the light of hearts that make us going with the ultimate trust in Allah (SWT). Tawakkul on Allah brings us closer to His Mighty existence and then nothing seems impossible to achieve in life. This Tawakkul is built on two important pillars that are dependent upon Allah and trust in Allah.
Story about Tawakkul
Here we are mentioning a story that is all about having Tawakkul on Allah (SWT). Once upon a recent time, we along with the family were traveling through the city. Suddenly on the longer route, the storm caught us terribly. And it was miserable to see that our car got damaged across the street. After some time, the storm stopped and the environment seems normal. It was the dark street with no visibility of man, home or building.
We have no other way to find someplace for living or to move via transport. Along with the family, we decided to start a walk even though there were no signs of living. We were afraid all along but it was deep-rooted Tawakkul on Allah that was getting us through the way. We could not stop in the middle of the road as it was seemingly dangerous. Throughout the walking, there were no cars on the empty streets.
Every one of us was praying to Allah to send an angel that can help us. Indeed it was the result of our prayers and Tawakkul on Allah that suddenly we saw a bus coming in the way. Seeing us on the road, the driver stopped there and offered help. We preferred to get on the bus as it was the only way to cope up with the dark and terrible situation in the stormy night. However, the bus driver was really kind enough as he dropped us at our destination safely.
From this incident, our faith and tawakkul got immensely stronger to the greatest extent and our belief got stronger that every hardship gets to ease.
As the Holy Quran says:
Verily, with every hardship comes ease.
(94:6)
Tawakkul in the light of the Holy Quran
‘And give good news to those who persevere, those who say, when a misfortune strikes them, Surely to Allah we belong, and surely to Him, we will return, these are the ones on whom blessings from their Lord descend, and mercy and these are the ones who are rightly guided’.
[Surah Al-Baqarah 2: 155-157]
Put your trust in Allah. Allah loves those that trust [in Him].
[Surah al-Imran 3: 159]
‘You Alone we worship and You Alone we ask for help’
[Surah al-Faatihah: 5] “The Opening”
‘Say: “Nothing will befall us except what Allah has ordained for us. He is our Protector. In Allah let the believers put their trust.”
[Surah At-Tawbah: 51]
These ayah tells about the tawakkul of the believer. So why putting trust in anyone, when you have tawakkul on Allah (SWT).
Tawakkul in the light of Hadith
The Imam (a) said:
“There are various degrees of trust in God. Of them one is that you should put your trust in God in all your affairs, being well‑pleased with whatever God does to you, knowing for certain that he does not cease in His goodness and grace towards you and that the command therein rests with Him. So put your trust in God, leaving that to Him and relying upon Him in regard to that and everything other than that.”
[Al-Kulayni, al‑Kafi, vol 2, p. 391, Hadith No. 3]
Almighty Allah is always there to hold your hand in every battle of life. Remember to pray in both times either happiness or sadness. Your destiny is always in Allah’s hands. So please him and leave all your matters to Him. Everything will be great at the end.
