First ten days of Dhul-Hijjah are so pious and sacred. There are different sources present that highlight the importance of this special season. These are the most blessed days which Allah prefers over all the other days of the year.
Ibn `Abbas (may Allah be pleased with him and his father) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“There are no days in which righteous deeds are more beloved to Allah than these ten days.” The people asked, “Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah?” He said, “Not even Jihad for the sake of Allah, except in the case of a man who went out to fight, giving himself and his wealth up for the cause, and came back with nothing.” (Reported by Al-Bukhari)
As we are approaching the blessed month of Dhul-Hijjah, our hearts should be pure and ready to perform Ibadah. This is the month of the Holy Pilgrimage and our prayers are with those who are going to perform this blessed obligation. Even if we are not performing the Holy pilgrimage this month, we can still reap the countless blessings of this month by pleasing Almighty Allah through our deeds.

So here we are presenting some tips through which we can make the most of these blessed days:
1. Read the Holy Quran
Reciting the Qur’an is such a great deed to do which Allah (SWT) especially loves and pleases with the one who recites. You can recite the Holy Quran as much as you can. Even there are a few pages or few verses but recite from the heart and understand what Almighty Allah is saying in His Holy Book.
2. Perform Nawaafil Prayers
Make arrangements to offer nawaafil prayers in the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah. It is one of the best ways to please Almighty Allah and get closer to Him. Increase your worship acts these days to get double rewards from Allah.
3. Make more dhikr
Dhikr of Allah brings our hearts to peace and leads us to the great habit of saying tasbeeh.
Our Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said:
“There are no days that are greater before Allah or in which good deeds are more beloved to Him, than these ten days, so recite a great deal of tahleel, takbeer and tahmeed during them.” [Ahmad]
Tahmeed: Al-hamdu Lillah (All praises be to God)
Tahleel: Laa ilaha ill-Allah (There is no god but Allah)
Tasbeeh: Subhaan-Allah (Glory be to God)
4. Do Istighfaar
We commit so many sins throughout our lives. So use these blessed days of Dhul-Hijjah to seek forgiveness by Almighty Allah for all our sins and wrongdoings. We all know that Allah is the most merciful and forgiver. Don’t waste this precious time as it is the best time to ask blessings from Him.
5. Fasting in Dhul-Hijjah
Fasting is one of the best deeds to do on the first ten days of Dhul-Hijjah.
Allah says:
“All the deeds of the son of Adam are for him, except fasting, which is for Me and I shall reward for it.”
The Prophet said:
“Fasting the day of `Arafah expiates the sins of two years: the past one and the coming one.”
[Muslim]
6. Give more charity
Please the Almighty Allah by helping His needy people and give more charity in these pious days. Charity protects you from calamities and helps you in ways that are unimaginable.
