There are several short Hadiths that guide us in every aspect of life. Either it is any prospect of life, we find guidance in the Holy Quran and Hadiths. Under this post, we are sharing some of the great Hadiths helpful for everyone with all the wisdom inculcated in them.

Short Hadiths with Translation
Hadith 1 โ Virtue of Making Tasbeeh
:ููููู ูุชูุงูู ุฎููููููุชูุงูู ุนูููู ุงููููุณูุงููุ ุซููููููุชูุงูู ููู ุงููู ููุฒูุงููุ ุญูุจููุจูุชูุงูู ุฅูููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ููู
(ุณูุจูุญูุงูู ุงูููููู ููุจูุญูู ูุฏููู)ุ (ุณูุจูุญุงูู ุงูููููู ุงููุนูุธููู ู)
There are two words which are light on the tongue, heavy on the scale, and loved by the Most Merciful:ย SubhanAllahi wa bihamdi, SubhaAllahi al-azeemย (Glorified is Allah and praised is He, Glorified is Allah the Greatest).

Hadith 2 โ Good Treatment of Parents

A man came to the Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) and said, โO Messenger of Allah! Who among the people has the most right to my good company?โ He replied, โYour mother.โ The man said, โThen who?โ He replied, โYour mother.โ The man said, โThen who?โ He replied, โYour mother.โ The man said, โThen who?โ He replied, โThen your father.โ

Hadith 3 โ Avoiding Suspicion
ุฅููููุงููู ู ููุงูุธููููู, ููุฅูููู ุงููุธููููู ุฃูููุฐูุจู ุงูููุญูุฏููุซู
Beware of suspicion for it is the most untruthful type of speech.

Hadith 4 โ Guarding the Tongue
ย ุฅูููู ุงููุนูุจูุฏู ููููุชููููููู ู ุจูุงููููููู ูุฉู ู ูุง ููุชูุจูููููู ูููููุงุ ููุฒูููู ุจูููุง ููู ุงููููุงุฑู ุฃูุจูุนูุฏู ู ูู ููุง ุจููููู ุงููู ูุดูุฑููู ูู ุงููู ูุบูุฑูุจู
A slave [of Allah] may utter a word without giving it much thought by which he slips into the fire a distance further than that between east and west.

Hadith 5 โ Avoiding the Forbidden
ุฅูููู ุงูููููู ููุบูุงุฑู ููุบูููุฑูุฉู ุงูููู ุฃููู ููุฃูุชููู ุงููู ูุคูู ููู ู ูุง ุญูุฑููู ู ุงูููู
Allah becomes jealous [of His honor] and that is when the believer does something He has forbidden.

Hadith 6 โ Virtue of Ramadan
ู ููู ููุงู ู ุฑูู ูุถูุงูู ุฅููู ูุงููุง ููุงุญูุชูุณูุงุจูุง, ุบูููุฑู ูููู ู ูุง ุชูููุฏููู ู ู ููู ุฐูููุจููู
Whoever stands [for night prayer] in Ramadan out of faith and hope for reward will be forgiven his past sins.

Hadith 7 โ Virtue of Umrah and Hajj
ุงููุนูู ูุฑูุฉู ุฅูููู ุงููุนูู ูุฑูุฉู ูููููุงุฑูุฉู ููู ูุง ุจูููููููู ูุง ููุงููุญูุฌูู ุงููู ูุจูุฑููุฑู ููููุณู ูููู ุฌูุฒุงุกู ุฅููุง ุงูุฌูููุฉู
Oneย Umrahย to the next is an expiation for whatever happened between them and the only reward for an acceptedย Hajjย is paradise.

Hadith 8 โ Yawning
ุงูุชููุซูุงุคูุจู ู ููู ุงูุดููููุทูุงูู ููุฅูุฐูุง ุชูุซูุงุกูุจู ุฃูุญูุฏูููู ู ููููููููุธูู ู ู ูุง ุงุณูุชูุทูุงุนู
Yawning is from the devil so whenever one of you yawns, then let him try to suppress it as much as possible.

Hadith 9 โ Taking Care of the Widow and Poor
ุงูุณููุงุนูู ุนูููู ุงูุฃูุฑูู ูููุฉู ููุงููู ูุณูููููู ููุงููู ูุฌูุงููุฏู ููู ุณูุจูููู ุงูููููู โ ููุฃูุญูุณูุจููู ููุงูู โ ููููุงููููุงุฆูู ู ูุงู ููููุชูุฑู ููููุงูุตููุงุฆูู ู ูุงู ููููุทูุฑู
The one who looks after a widow or poor person is like the one who strives in the cause of Allah โ and I think he also said โ he is like the one who continuously stands for prayer without slacking and fasts without breaking.

Hadith 10 โ Virtue of Being a Muslim
ู ูุง ููุตููุจู ุงููู ูุณูููู ู ู ููู ููุตูุจู ูููุงู ููุตูุจู ูููุงู ููู ูู ูููุงู ุญูุฒููู ูููุงู ุฃูุฐูู ูููุงู ุบูู ูู ุญูุชููู ุงูุดููููููุฉู ููุดูุงููููุงุ ุฅููุงูู ูููููุฑู ุงูููููู ุจูููุง ู ููู ุฎูุทูุงููุงูู
No fatigue, illness, worry, sorrow, harm, grief, even the prick of a thorn, afflicts a Muslim except that Allah expiates some of his sins by it.

Hadith 11 โ Rights of a Muslim

A Muslim has five rights on another Muslim:
1 โ Return the greeting ofย salam
2 โ Visiting the sick
3 โ Following the funeral
4 โ Accepting an invitation
5 โ Sayingย Yarhamuka Allahย (God have mercy on you) to the one who sneezes

Hadith 12 โ Attending Funerals
ู ููู ุดูููุฏู ุฌูููุงุฒูุฉู ุญูุชููู ููุตููููู ุนูููููููุง ูููููู ูููุฑูุงุทู ููู ููู ุดูููุฏู ุญูุชููู ุชูุฏููููู ูููููู ูููุฑูุงุทูุงููโ.โ ููููู: ููู ูุง ุงูููููุฑูุงุทูุงูู. ููุงููโ: ู ูุซููู ุงููุฌูุจููููููู ุงููุนูุธููู ููููู
Whoever attends a funeral and prays over it, then he will have aย qiraatย and whoever remains there until the person is buried will have twoย qiraat. It was said to him, โWhat are twoย qiraatโ? He (๏ทบ) replied, โThey are like two great mountains.โ

Hadith 13 โ Not Criticizing Food

The Prophet (๏ทบ) would never find fault with food. If he desired it, he would eat. If he disliked it, he would leave it.

Hadith 14 โ Hell and Paradise

The fire is surrounded by desires and paradise by adversities.

Hadith 15 โ Remaining Silent During Friday Sermon
ุฅูุฐูุง ููููุชู ููุตูุงุญูุจููู ุฃูููุตูุชู ููุงูุฅูู ูุงู ู ููุฎูุทูุจู ููููุฏู ููุบูููุชู
If you said to your companion on Friday [duringย Jumuโahย prayer], โListen!โ, while theย imaamย is giving the sermon, then youโve erred [by engaging in idle talk].

Hadith 16 โ Cleaning the Mouth Before Prayer
ูููููุงู ุฃููู ุฃูุดูููู ุนูููู ุฃูู ููุชูู ูุฃูู ูุฑูุชูููู ู ุจูุงูุณููููุงูู ุนูููุฏู ููููู ุตููุงูุฉู
If I did not fear difficulty for my nation, then I would have commanded them to use theย siwaakย before every prayer.

Hadith 17 โ Washing Heels During Ablution
ุงููููุจูู ุตูู ุงููู ุนููู ูุณูู ุฑูุฃูู ุฑูุฌููุงู ููู ู ููุบูุณููู ุนูููุจููููู ููููุงูู:โ โูููููู ูููุฃูุนูููุงุจู ู ููู ุงููููุงุฑูโ โ
The Prophet (๏ทบ) saw a man who did not wash his heel [during ablution], so he (๏ทบ) said, โSave the heels from the fire!โ

Hadith 18 โ Following the Imam in Prayer
ุฃูู ูุง ููุฎูุดูู ุงูููุฐูู ููุฑูููุนู ุฑูุฃูุณููู ููุจููู ุงูุฅูู ูุงู ู ุฃููู ููุญูููููู ุงูููู ุฑูุฃูุณููู ุฑูุฃูุณู ุญูู ูุงุฑู
Isnโt the one who raises his head before theย imaamย [during prayer] afraid that Allah may change his head to that of a donkey?

Hadith 19 โ Virtue of Going to the Mosque
ู ููู ุบูุฏูุง ุฅูููู ุงููู ูุณูุฌูุฏู ุฃููู ุฑูุงุญู ุฃูุนูุฏูู ุงูููู ูููู ููู ุงููุฌููููุฉู ููุฒููุงู ูููููู ูุง ุบูุฏูุง ุฃููู ุฑูุงุญู
Whenever someone goes to the mosque in the morning or evening, Allah prepares for him a place in paradise.

Hadith 20 โ Signs of a Hypocrite

The signs of a hypocrite are three:
1 โ When he speaks, he lies
2 โ When heโs trusted, he betrays
3 โ When he promises, he breaks it

Hadith 21 โ Clothes Below the Ankles
ู ูุง ุฃูุณููููู ู ููู ุงููููุนูุจููููู ู ููู ุงูุฅูุฒูุงุฑู ููููู ุงููููุงุฑู
Whatever of the lower garment falls below the ankles is in the fire.

Hadith 22 โ Virtue of Makingย Dhikrย After Prayer
ุงููู ููุงูุฆูููุฉู ุชูุตููููู ุนูููู ุฃูุญูุฏูููู ู ู ูุง ุฏูุงู ู ููู ู ูุตููุงูููู ุงูููุฐูู ุตููููู ูููููุ ู ูุง ููู ู ููุญูุฏูุซูุ ุชูููููู ุงููููููู ูู ุงุบูููุฑู ูููู ุงููููููู ูู ุงุฑูุญูู ููู
The angles continue to pray for one of you as long as he remains in his place of prayer provided he does not break his ablution. The angels pray, โO Allah! Forgive him. O Allah! Have mercy on him.โ

Hadith 23 โ Obeying the Prophet

โEvery person from my nation will enter paradise except the one who refuses.โ They asked, โO Messenger of Allah, and who will refuse?โ He (๏ทบ) replied, โWhoever obeyed me, then he entered paradise. Whoever disobeyed me, then he refused.โ

Hadith 24 โ Danger of Calling Another Muslim a Disbeliever
ุฅูุฐูุง ููุงูู ุงูุฑููุฌููู ูุฃูุฎูููู ููุง ููุงููุฑู ููููุฏู ุจูุงุกู ุจููู ุฃูุญูุฏูููู ูุง
If a man said to his [Muslim] brother, โOย Kaafirย (disbeliever)โ, then that [statement] will return to one of them.

Hadith 25 โ Repentance
ููููููู ุฃูุดูุฏูู ููุฑูุญูุง ุจูุชูููุจูุฉู ุฃูุญูุฏูููู ู ู ููู ุฃูุญูุฏูููู ู ุจูุถูุงูููุชููู ุฅูุฐูุง ููุฌูุฏูููุง
Allah is more joyous with the repentance of one of you than you are when you find your lost animal.

Hadith 26 โ Spreading Greeting of Salam
ูุงู ุชูุฏูุฎููููุง ุงููุฌููููุฉู ุญูุชููู ุชูุคูู ููููุงุ ูููุงู ุชูุคูู ููููุง ุญูุชููู ุชูุญูุงุจูููุงุ ุฃููููุงู ุฃูุฏููููููู ุนูููู ุดูููุกู ุฅูุฐูุง ููุนูููุชูู ูููู ุชูุญูุงุจูุจูุชูู ุ ุฃูููุดููุง ุงูุณูููุงูู ู ุจูููููููู ู
You will not enter paradise until you believe and you will not believe until you love one another. Should I direct you to that which will cause you to love one another? Spread the greeting ofย salamย among yourselves.

Hadith 27 โ Expiation of Sins

The five daily prayers, one Friday prayer to the next, and one Ramadan to the next are an expiation for whatever happened between them as long as the major sins are avoided.

Hadith 28 โ The Best Fast and Prayer

The best fast after Ramadan is in the month of Allah: Muharram. The best prayer after the obligatory one is the night prayer.

Hadith 29 โ Repenting Before the Sun Rises from the West
ู ููู ุชูุงุจู ููุจููู ุฃููู ุชูุทูููุนู ุงูุดููู ูุณู ู ููู ู ูุบูุฑูุจูููุง ุชูุงุจู ุงูููู ุนููููููู
Whoever repents before the sun rises from the west, Allah will accept his repentance.

Hadith 30 โ Trimming the Mustache and Growing the Beard
ุฌูุฒูููุง ุงูุดููููุงุฑูุจู ููุฃูุฑูุฎููุง ุงููููุญูู ุฎูุงูููููุง ุงููู ูุฌููุณู
Trim the mustache and leave the beard. Differ from the Magians.

That I say:ย SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, La ilaaha illa Allah, and Allahu Akbarย is more beloved to me than everything the sun rises on.

Hadith 32 โ Betraying the Muslims

Whoever carried weapons against us is not from among us and whoever cheated us is not from among us.

Hadith 33 โ Deeds After Death
ุฅูุฐูุง ู ูุงุชู ุงูุฅูููุณูุงูู ุงููููุทูุนู ุนูู ููููู ุฅููุงูู ู ููู ุซููุงูุซู: ุตูุฏูููุฉู ุฌูุงุฑูููุฉู ููุนูููู ู ููููุชูููุนู ุจููู ููููููุฏู ุตูุงููุญู ููุฏูุนูู ูููู
When a person dies, then all his deeds come to an end except for three:
1 โ A continuous charity
2 โ Knowledge he left behind being benefited from
3 โ A righteous child who prays for him

Hadith 34 โ What to Say While Dying
ููููููููุง ู ูููุชูุงููู ู ูุงู ุฅููููู ุฅููุงูู ุงูููู โ
Instruct your dying ones to say:ย La ilaha illa Allahย (There is no deity worthy of worship except Allah)

Hadith 35 โ Lying About the Prophet
ู ููู ููุฐูุจู ุนูููููู ู ูุชูุนูู ููุฏูุง ููููููุชูุจููููุฃู ู ูููุนูุฏููู ู ููู ุงููููุงุฑู
Whoever deliberately lies about me, then let him take his seat in the Fire.

Hadith 36 โ Those Who Call to Guidance or Misguidance
ู ููู ุฏูุนูุง ุฅูููู ููุฏูู ููุงูู ูููู ู ููู ุงูุฃูุฌูุฑู ู ูุซููู ุฃูุฌููุฑู ู ููู ููุชููุจูุนููู ูุงู ููููููุตู ุฐููููู ู ููู ุฃูุฌููุฑูููู ู ุดูููุฆูุง ููู ููู ุฏูุนูุง ุฅูููู ุถููุงูููุฉู ููุงูู ุนููููููู ู ููู ุงูุฅูุซูู ู ู ูุซููู ุขุซูุงู ู ู ููู ููุชููุจูุนููู ูุงู ููููููุตู ุฐููููู ู ููู ุขุซูุงู ูููู ู ุดูููุฆูุง โ
Whoever called others to guidance, then he will receive a reward similar to whoever followed him without it decreasing from either of them. Whoever called others to misguidance, then he will receive a sin similar to whoever followed him without it decreasing from either of them.

Hadith 37 โ Associating Partners With Allah in Deeds

Allah, the Exalted and Blessed, said: โI am of those most without need to be associated with partners. Whoever performed a deed for Me and associated a partner with me in it as well, then I leave him and whatever he associated with me.โ

Hadith 38 โ Sending Prayers on the Prophet
ู ููู ุตููููู ุนูููููู ููุงุญูุฏูุฉู ุตููููู ุงูููู ุนููููููู ุนุดุฑุง
Whoever sent one prayer on me, Allah will send ten prayers on him.

Hadith 39 โ Sacredness of a Muslimโs Blood, Wealth, and Honor
ููููู ุงููู ูุณูููู ู ุนูููู ุงููู ูุณูููู ู ุญูุฑูุงู ู ุฏูู ููู ููู ูุงูููู ููุนูุฑูุถููู
Every Muslimโs blood, wealth, and honor are forbidden for other Muslims to violate.

Hadith 40 โ Charity and Humility

Charity does not decrease wealth, Allah increases the honor of the slave who pardons [others], and whoever humbles himself for Allahโs sake, He will raise him [in status].

Hadith 41 โ Backbiting

The Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) said, โDo you know what is backbiting?โ They said, โAllah and His Messenger know best.โ He (๏ทบ) said, โWhen you mention your brother in a way that he dislikes.โ It was said, โWhat if that which I mention exists in my brother?โ He (๏ทบ) replied, โIf what you mention exists in him, then you committed backbiting against him. If what you mention does not exist in him, then you have slandered him.โ

Hadith 42 โ Remembering Allah

The Messenger of Allah (๏ทบ) said, โTheย al-Mufarridoonย have preceded!โ They asked, โWho are theย al-Mufarridoon?โ He (๏ทบ) replied, โThose men and women who remember Allah much.โ

Hadith 43 โ What Really Matters

Allah does not look at your faces and wealth but He looks at your hearts and deeds.

Do not make your homes into graveyards. Verily, the devil flees from the house in whichย Surah al-Baqarahย is read.

Hadith 45 โ Being Good to Your Neighbor
ูุงู ููุฏูุฎููู ุงููุฌููููุฉู ู ููู ูุงู ููุฃูู ููู ุฌูุงุฑููู ุจูููุงุฆููููู
One whose neighbor is not safe from his evil will not enter paradise.

Hadith 46 โ Supplicating During Prostration
ุฃูููุฑูุจู ู ูุง ููููููู ุงููุนูุจูุฏู ู ููู ุฑูุจูููู ูููููู ุณูุงุฌูุฏู ููุฃููุซูุฑููุง ุงูุฏููุนูุงุกู
When a slave prostrates, he is the closest to his Lord. So increase your supplications [during that time].

Hadith 47 โ Seeking Knowledge
ู ููู ุณููููู ุทูุฑููููุง ููููุชูู ูุณู ููููู ุนูููู ูุง ุณูููููู ุงูููู ูููู ุทูุฑููููุง ุฅูููู ุงููุฌููููุฉู
Whoever takes a path in pursuit of knowledge, Allah will make easy for him the path to paradise.

Verily, Allah will say on the Day of Judgement, โWhere are those who [used to] love one another for the sake of my Glory? Today, I will cover them in my shade when there is no shade except for mine.โ

Hadith 49 โ Importance of the Obligatory Prayer
ุฅูุฐูุง ุฃููููู ูุชู ุงูุตููููุงุฉู ููููุง ุตูููุงุฉู ุฅููููุง ุงููู ูููุชููุจูุฉ
When theย iqamahย for the obligatory prayer is called, then there is no prayer except the obligatory one.

The world is a prison for the believer and a paradise for the disbeliever.

ู ููู ุณูุฃููู ุงูููู ุงูุดููููุงุฏูุฉู ุจูุตูุฏููู ุจููููุบููู ุงูููู ู ูููุงุฒููู ุงูุดููููุฏูุงุกู ููุฅููู ู ูุงุชู ุนูููู ููุฑูุงุดููู
Whoever sincerely asked Allah for martyrdom, Allah will raise him to its station even if he dies on his bed.
